Fire Safety 20 Min. Retrofit Fire Door Kit  

Upgrades any door with a minimum thickness of 1 3/8” (35mm) (includes hollow core, solid core, semi solid {tubular core} molded panel or solid wood doors) to a Underwriters Laboratories of Canada (ULC) or Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 20 Minute Fire Rated Door.

The Retrofit Fire Door Kit (Fireskin)   

Recognized by the Canadian Federal Government Department of the Environment – Environmental Choice Program and Listed in the Eco-Buyer’s Catalogue. This is recognized in the United States under the North American Free Trade Agreement.

Kit’s design allows for easy installation by a handyman at minimum cost. The Retrofit Fire Door Kit is patented in the United States and Canada.

Each 20 Min. Retrofit Fire Door Kit is composed of the following:

Preformed Door Facing:
-1.2 mm (1/32”) thick Fire Resistant Panel consisting of non rustable, ready-to-paint steel sheet coated with fire resistant compound                                                                                         -Standard Width     - 3’ 0”
-Standard Height    - 7’ 0”
-Door facing is designed to be site   trimmed to fit any size or shape of   existing door
-Each door facing comes embossed with UL stamp mark on the show face
-Kit is used on one side of the door only
-Upgrades available: stainless steel, polished brass, wood grained vinyl laminate
-Faces can be decorated with applied moldings

Preformed Lock Reinforcing Bracket:
-1.3 mm thick Fire Resistant Bracket consisting of non rustable, Ready-to-paint
-Each bracket embossed with UL mark
-Standard Width:      - 4 1/2”
-Standard Height:     - 4 1/2”
-Custom brackets for non-standard lock available
-Polished brass upgrade available

Screws:
-#8 Screws supplied in packages of 50 per Kit

Fire Retardant
Compound:
-Fire retardant material is Environmentally friendly (contains no Asbestos)

Sound Insulation:
-Kit reduces transmission of sound through door by 17 decibels

Burglar Resistance:
-Kit’s design increases resistance to forced entry
